Every little helps – Give underprivileged children hope.

blog-weeks2goWe've got barely three weeks before D-Day and it's getting really exciting! Thanks to our supporters, we've gone a third towards our target but still well short of it.

We're still optimistic all the same and are already focussed for the trip. The weather still feels quite cold and I hope it warms up soon enough for the ride.

blog-planningBoy, how time flies! It's been 4 years since our last bike ride but it just feels like 4 months. Just the other day, I saw a documentary on Street Children in Africa and I felt quite moved to see how children from babies upwards are left to fend for themselves on the streets due to all sorts of social and economic issues. It's quite sad to see how these children have been failed by society and the system in general.

blog-time-to-goReally, it is time to go on the road again! Too many underprivileged to be reached out to in so many a way, but for the LifeBikers, going on the road with families, friends, colleagues and the general public in their support, it's time to go biking for the sole purpose of succor.

The seed of the idea to get on our bikes was sown during our volunteering stint for Crisis UK Christmas 2009 last December. With Tola and myself in town, Abi seized the opportunity and got us back on the GO!

Blog-another-chanceWe continue our sojourn on the road this year with a view to reaching out to underpriviledged children.

LifeBikers Bike Ride 2010 ride takes off on Friday, 4th of June through Sunday, 6th of June 2010. As we have done in the past, Tola Obembe is expected to fly into London on Thursday from Lagos, Nigeria, same day as Essay Folami from Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
